Vlada playing the role of Violetta in ‘La Traviata’ at the Royal Opera House.
My first-ever Instagram Live experience was with my friend Vlada Borovko, a professional opera singer, on Sunday June 28th 2020. I must say I was definitely a bit shy and hesitant about the idea (being used to having a rather low-key Instagram presence), but when Vlada asked if I’d like to do it I thought I’d give it a go! It was so great catching up with her. We spoke about our experiences in Russia/Bermuda during coronavirus lockdown, the opera production she is currently in Germany rehearsing for, diversity in opera, our hopes for the future and more!
